This is the classic '60s "Pagoda" roof Mercedes Benz which started life as the 230SL in 1964 and evolved into the later, more powerful and refined 280SL, which is the most desirable variant.

Nowadays rightly regarded as a real classic, the SL is an all-rounder with great looks and presence plus the solid Mercedes virtues of great build quality and highly competent engineering of every detail in the car

The 280 SL is a sports and touring car for all seasons with both hard and soft tops which are fully weatherproof.

The car is very easy to drive with the excellent Mercedes Benz automatic transmission and power assisted steering. The seats are very comfortable and the cockpit is spacious and well equipped. The boot is capacious and this car has the desirable extra seat in the back which is intended for smaller people.
